Homographs

Homographs are words that are spelled the same but have different meanings.

For example:

He hit the nail with the hammer. OR She broke her nail, and it hurt.

bat - piece of sports equipment OR an animal
wave – move the hand in greeting OR sea water coming into shore
bass – type of fish OR low, deep voice
