Elements of Nonfiction Text and the Rainforest

We have been studing the different elements of nonfiction text. And this ties into our study of the rainforest. Check out this cool website on the rainforest animals.

The Big, Green EEEEEWWWWWW Blob!!!!!

This week our spelling words had the ew (/ui/, /ew/, /oo/, /ue/)sound. We had a great time with this oh so gross sound:) Students got to make their own gross blobs and stick some eeewww words to the gross, green blob!

Miss Lola the Letter Lady

Ask your kids about Miss Lola! She was a special guest that came to our class and helped us with letter writing. She knew the "proper" way of writing a friendly letter. We hope she comes back to visit again:)
