Mama Jama was the BEST!

Our second graders had a very special guest come to visit them. It was Mama Jama the Storyteller. She taught us a song, told us a funny story, and reminded us of how very important reading and school are to our lives.

Check out some of the pictures from the storytelling:

Mama Jama (the storyteller) and Papa Jama

All of us waiting! We were excited.

Mama Jama telling a story. It was about a girl and a magic snail!

We danced!!!

We were amazed!

Thanks Mama Jama and Papa Jama for coming. We LOVED it!

We LOVE our silent reading time!

Research states that students need 10-15 minutes of independent reading each and everyday. Boy do we love it!
