We are looking forward to meeting our new students and their parents on August 16 -"Meet the Teacher Day"!

Important Dates in August

Monday, August 16th - Registration/Meet the teacher 12-6 p.m.
****Parents, please remember to bring proof of residency (recent rent receipt, utility or telephone bill; lease agreement, tax bill, mortgage deed or sales contract).

Wednesday, August 18th - First Day of School

2010-2011 2nd Grade Supply List

Your child will need the following items on the first day of school:

2 - packs of pencils
5 - plastic folders with brads (1 each of red, yellow, green, blue, purple)
2 - one subject spiral notebooks (wide-ruled)
1 - bookbag (no rolling bags, please)
1 - 24 count box of crayons
6 - glue sticks (no liquid glue)
1 - pair of scissors (Fiskar)
1 - hard plastic pencil box

*Each student will also need a Rosemont Tiger Cub folder.
Folders will be available for purchase on Meet the Teacher / Registration Day
scheduled for Monday, August 16 from 12:00 - 6:00 p.m.
The cost of the folder is $1.00.

Extra Classroom Needs:
hand sanitizer, Kleenex, Clorox wipes,
paper towels, Ziploc bags, glue sticks

Relay for Life 2010

Several teachers and staff from RES rallied together at the Whitesville Road track on Friday night for RELAY FOR LIFE 2010. The Second grade teachers spent a long (but fun!) Friday night/ morning at Relay for Life. We raised money for the American Cancer Society and helped to promote cancer awareness. It was a BLAST...Can't wait to do it again next year! :) Thank you Mrs. Athon for leading our Relay team this year! Mrs. Keck took these awesome pictures and we wanted to share...
